Teacher Support: Getting Started: Create a Course
When you first sign in your dashboard will be a blank slate since you haven't set up the curriculum yet. But getting started is pretty easy. Before you can create a specific class (first period, second period, etc.) you must first set up the course curriculum (Foundations in Personal Finance, Foundations in Entrepreneurship, etc.).
You can set up as many courses as you need to. All classes (first period, second period, etc.) connected to a course will share the same syllabus and view options. So if you have an advanced class that will use all of the chapters, and a basic class that will use only a portion of the material, you will want to set up two courses, and a class for each.
If all of your classes will be going through the same course material, then just set up one course with multiple classes.
Create a Course
To create a course, click the Create Course button in the upper right of your dashboard.
Then choose a curriculum from the pop-up screen. You will only see the curriculum that your school has access to.
- If you do not see the curriculum you are looking for or you would like to subscribe to additional curriculum, please contact an advisor at 800-781-8914 or reach our sales support team by email: help@ramseyeducation.com.
Select a teacher (it will default to yourself as the teacher) and add a description. The description is for your purposes only—students will not see the description, though other teachers at your school can when viewing all courses.
Click the Create Course button.
Next you will need to add a class.
